Ok so I know we all have the same obsession of watching these southern belles each and every Sunday -- or is it just me? Oh well, If you're like me then you feel someone connected with these ladies - minus all the fame, fortune, & endless supply of champagne lol.
Well a few seasons back when Kim was still on the show, there was the ever-famous creation of "Tardy for the Party" well as all my #ROHA fans remember...Kandi as a gracious and supportive friend wrote this song and a few others for her dear friend and aspiring singer Kim. (she is more entertaining than talented as a singer...but she is no doubt a go-getter - "ask, believe, & receive" as she said herself and she exemplifies just that)
The song was a huge success and then came the profits...but to Kim only as she did not share in any of the revenue or creative credit to Kandi. As expected this put a strain on the relationship and we all watched the friendship as well as Kim's spot on the show diminish.

People have been wondering for years why “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star, Kandi Burrus had not sued Kim Zolciak over the money made off of “Tardy For The Party“, well wonder no more! According to, toofab.com, Kandi is allegedly suing Kim for infringing upon her copyright by unlawfully licensing, distributing and selling the song.
What most are wondering is what took Kandi so long to get her money? It seems to most rational people that she was due this money years ago. Sometimes friendships are truly tested when money gets involved. Let’s hope this doesn’t get any uglier than it has to! But you can usually expect to find a hot mess when dealing with messy situations! Good luck ladies! We’ll be watching!
